Never Give Up

Turning 40 and going on a hot air balloon ride has been 5 yrs in the making. Yes, 5 yrs and 3 attempts later to finally board this one this week. Each time each ride was called off due to the weather, so it was no after no to finally a yes to go up up and away. 

I was gutted and disappointed each time and thought it wasn't for me, that I didn't deserve this experience and why would I keep going only to have another no and cancellation. 

I share this photo and story to know that didn't just post the photo and it was my first time and it magically happened. Just like life and what we see on social media of a moment, success, highlights and more. We don't always see the behind the scenes challenges, rejection, failures, feeling not worthy, and the continued work with not always results or outcomes you have worked so hard for.  

I'm here to say never give up, no matter the setbacks, the no's, the rejections, embarrassing moments and more. 

Keep going and never give up.

What I realised this week after being up in the air was that all the no's were because yes the weather, however, it was more than that. I wasn't fully ready for the experience and to enjoy it fully. I have a fear of heights to the point if I watch a film and it's someone hanging off a building or jumping out a plane, anything height related with people, my legs would buckle and I would have them rested on the couch.  So being in an open basket high up in the air and no seat belt or harness to keep you securely in I believe I would have freaked out in the past years. Whereas on Monday I had done so much work myself in all areas of my life that I was ready to take off and be fully present and not ruin the experience for everyone else. and enjoy it to the fullest. I did have a few butterflies at the beginning and quickly settled them and take in the journey. 

Whatever you are going through and when things don't work out or take time to come to fruition come back to you, reassess and keep going and never give up, it will happen it can just take some time and enjoy the process part. (which can suck sometimes)
